two-seeds

Introduction: The purpose of this lesson is to understand that God created vessels of honor destined for salvation, and vessels of wrath destined for destruction.

1. FROM THE BEGINNING GOD MADE A DISTINCTION BETWEEN THE TWO SEEDS

a) Gen 3:15 "And I will put enmity...Between your seed and her seed."
b) Gen 4:4-5 " And the Lord respected Abel..., but did not respect Cain..."

2. THE GOSPEL CONFIRMS THESE TWO SEEDS

a) Rom 9:11-13 "for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil,..."

c) 2 Thess 3:2 "...unreasonable and wicked men;...not all have faith."
d) Rom 8:9-10 "...does not have the spirit of Christ, he is not His."

3. THE NARRATIVES RELATE THAT JESUS IN THE DAYS OF HIS FLESH SPOKE OF THESE TWO SEEDS

a) John 10:24-26 "But you do not believe, because you are not of my sheep,"
b) John 8:44 "You are of your father the devil,"
c) Matt 7:15 "...but inwardly they are ravenous wolves."
d) Matt 7:21-23 "...I never knew you; depart from Me,"

4. THE SCRIPTURE GIVES EVIDENCE OF THESE TWO SEEDS

a) Isaiah 46:3-4 "Who have been carried from the womb.."
b) Dan 12:10 "...but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand,"
c) Psalm 58:3 "The wicked are estranged from the womb;"
d) Prov 16:4 "Yes, even the wicked for the day of doom."
